Liisa Stenberg is a Finnish author with two published non-fiction books and a debut novel soon in print. She loves writing speculative fiction and visual travel guides.

So far, all books by Liisa Stenberg have something in common: Japan. She started her author career soon after finishing an exchange study year in Japan in 2011 and has since travelled there over a dozen times. Her first book, Vuosi Japanissa, is aimed for those Finns, who want to learn about Japanese culture in general, while her second guide lists the best coffee shops and tea houses in the metropolitan Tokyo. Author’s debut novel, Ainoat lapset, is set in future Kyoto.
